ABOUT US
We’re a small group of friendly people led by Hilary Hughes, meeting roughly bi-monthly to encourage and share our writing journeys; we mainly write poetry – but poetry in its broadest sense! Some of us have been writing for years, others are new to this area of expression, but we all are willing to ‘give it a go’, inspired by Nature, World Events, Faith & Life in general! Our approach is varied, inspired by the writings of others, different poetic forms and ‘free flow’. We are keen to promote Spoken Word projects and our creativity has been used widely in worship and further afield. At Christmas we produced pieces for Carols by Candlelight; we plan to have an ‘away day’ when we can. We usually meet on Saturday or Monday mornings.
