At Gracious Street, we’re thinking more and more about God’s creation and the state of the ecosystem that sustains us all and in line with this thinking we have now been awarded the Eco Church Bronze Award by A Rocha UK.
Many of us who attend Gracious Street, and especially our young people, are very concerned about climate change and the threat that it presents to us.
We’ve decided that we will devote one week every May to thinking, praying and discussing creation, environmental issues and what our church response should be.
We’ve recently installed bike racks, reduced SUPs, and are finding out our church carbon footprint and how we can reduce it.
We know that we need to do a lot more.
We want to commit to being an Eco Church and making looking after God’s creation a key part of “Your Church for Your Whole Week”.
