Gracious Street Methodist Church, in association with Knaresborough Connectors, have produced a Number Trail around the residential streets of Knaresborough.
The trail is designed to help with counting skills and number recognition from 1-10, primarily for pre-school children. It consists of knitted woollen lamppost scarves, laminated pictures and bunting. We hope that these bring joy and provide a talking point for people of all ages throughout the summer holidays.
The number trail can also be used as a game with people in your family or friends group.
As you walk around the streets…
- Can you find all the numbers from 1-10?
- Each person makes a bingo card using different combination of numbers. Who can find all their numbers first?
- Each person chooses a number. Who can find most examples of their number?
- Do you know/can you sing the songs associated with the pictures?
We hope that you enjoy the trail. Initially it can be found on streets around the Manor Road and Stockwell Avenue area; however watch out for more as the summer progresses.
Please leave the number trail where you found it for others to enjoy. Many thanks.
Please supervise children safely at all times and take care on pavements and when crossing roads.
Please follow current Covid 19 guidelines – stay in family groups and social distance from other pedestrians.
There are lots of dog walkers in Knaresborough, look out for dog poo and don’t touch dogs without the owner’s permission.
Remember to wash/anti bac your hands frequently, and as soon as you get home.
The public toilets in town are open until 5pm
